Privacy policy

Your reading is yours.

Last updated October 2026.

Besorah collects no data about you. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no trackers in the iPhone, iPad, Mac or terminal apps, and nothing you do in them is sent to us or to anyone else.

What stays on your device

Your bookmarks, highlights, notes, reading progress, searches and settings are stored only on the device you use. The Bible texts and study data are bundled inside the app, so reading and searching work with no connection at all. Home-screen and desktop widgets read a small file the app writes on the same device.

Optional sync

If you choose a folder in Settings → Sync (for example a folder in your own iCloud Drive), the app saves one file of your bookmarks, highlights and notes there so your own devices can share it. That folder belongs to you and is handled by Apple's iCloud under Apple's terms; we have no server and cannot see it. Turn sync off, or delete the folder, at any time.

Siri and Shortcuts

If you use Siri or the Shortcuts app, the phrases you speak are handled by Apple on your device. Besorah only receives the passage or search you asked for, and uses it to open the right page.

This website and the browser version

The website and the web version are static pages with no cookies, no analytics and no sign-in. Like any website, the hosting provider and its network (Amazon Web Services and Cloudflare) handle standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, to deliver and protect the site; we do not use or review them. The web version keeps your notes, highlights and settings in your browser's own storage on your device.

Children

Because Besorah collects nothing, it collects nothing from children either.

Changes and contact

If this policy ever changes it will be updated here with a new date, and we will never add tracking or advertising to the app. Questions: [email protected].
